Tour of the Winery
In the Winery
  • Wine Making Process-
    • Grapes are de-stemmed then crushed.
    • Red and whites go into individual presses.
    • Wines are then put into wood or stainless steal vats (or barrels) for fermentation.
    • Then most red and some white wines are put into oak barrels for aging.
    • In most cases, after the wine is fermented dry and the wine attains the desired taste, the winemaker will give his okay to bottle.
  • Storing Wine-
    • Wine should be kept dark and still at a consistent temperature.
    • The cooler the temperature, the longer the wine will hold.
    • Ideal temperature is 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
